I used to think my thoughts were facts. "I’m not good enough." "I’ll never get it right." "God’s tired of me." But then I learned that not every thought deserves a seat at my table. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says we have the power to take every thought captive. That means I can challenge the lies with truth and win.
When a thought says "You’re too broken," fight back with "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). When shame whispers "God’s done with you," respond with "His mercies are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:22-23). Your mind is a battlefield, but you’ve been given armor (Ephesians 6:11). Use it.
Philippians 4:8 encourages us to think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, and lovely. Fill your mind with truth and watch your perspective shift. You can’t always control what pops into your head, but you can choose what stays.
