I used to treat the Bible like a textbook. Highlighting rules. Underlining commandments. But nothing was sticking. Then someone said, “Read it like you’re part of the story.” Everything changed. When I read about Peter denying Jesus, I saw my own fear. When I read about Ruth’s loyalty, I saw my own friendships. The Bible is alive. It’s not just about them. It’s about us.

Want it to come alive? Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you (John 14:26). Read it with curiosity. Ask questions. Let it interrupt you. The Bible is full of drama, betrayal, scandal, redemption, and hope. It’s better than Netflix because it’s true. And it’s still unfolding in your own life.

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active.” Don’t read it just to finish a plan read it to hear God. Read it to see yourself. Read it to understand who He is. Every verse is a doorway into a deeper relationship with Him.
