I remember the season like it was yesterday. I was journaling, praying, worshiping, doing all the "right things." But heaven felt closed. No whispers. No signs. Just silence. I started to wonder if I had messed up or if God had just...left. It wasn’t until I read about the seed in the soil that it hit me. Some of the most powerful growth happens in complete darkness. God was growing me, even in the quiet.
What if your silence season is actually sacred? We want burning bushes and thunder, but God often moves in the whisper. Like Elijah on the mountain, He wasn't in the earthquake or fire. He was in the still, small voice (1 Kings 19:11-12). Keep showing up. You’re not being ignored. You’re being rooted. Faith is developed in stillness, not always in noise.
Just because you don’t feel it doesn’t mean He isn’t working. Like a tree growing roots underground, you are being prepared for a season of fruitfulness. Trust the process. The silence is not punishment it’s preparation. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”
