Unleashed to Manifest His Glory
2 Cor 3:18 | 1 Cor 1:30 | Rev 5:12
2 Cor 3:18 (NKJV):
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Cor 3:18 (NIV):
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Introduction
·Manifestation: Bringing into reality what is already present in your spirit.
·Glory of God: God's nature, essence, beauty, power, and presence in and through us.
At Born Again, You:
•- Receive the person of Christ
•- Christ now lives in you
•- Christ has now become righteousness, wisdom, holiness, salvation, Glory etc.- 1 Cor 1:30
• Christ came into you with the fullness of Godhead including Glory
Implications:
• Everything the Bible says about Christ now applies to you
• As Christ is, so are you (1 Jn 4:17)
•You are and have what Christ is and has
Examples of Shared Identity:
•Jesus is born of God — so are you (Jn 1:12)
•Jesus is born from above — so are you (Jn 3:3-5)
•Jesus is Son of God — you are too (He’s firstborn)
•Jesus had all glory — you have same (Jn 17:22)
•Jesus had all authority — you do too (Mt 28:18)
•Fullness of God in Christ — in you too (Col 2:9-10)
•Jesus is priest — you are royal priest (1 Pet 2:9)
•Jesus is King — you are king (Rev 5:10)
Born Once, Got Adam's Nature:
You inherit these automatically
•Separation from God
•Sickness, fear, frustration
•Anger, jealousy, wickedness
•Poverty, lack (1 Cor 15:47)
Born Again, Got Christ's Nature:
You inherit these automatically
•Eternal oneness with God
•Favor, blessing, wealth
•Honor, divine health
•Wisdom, Holy Spirit, power
•Divine DNA and Kingdom (Rom 6, Col 3:1-3)
•Glory, Wealth, Strength, Blessing – Rev 5:12
Manifesting God’s Glory:
Visible expression of God’s glory in all matters of life
·We don't pray to get glory; we pray to manifest it.
·Christ has made glory available through the cross
·Romans 3:23 (NIV): For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
How Do I Manifest God's Glory?
•Believe you already have it (Rom 10:9-10)
•Receive it by faith (Mt 11:24)
•Behold Christ continually for increasing glory- (2 Cor 3:18)
