I remember a season when my life felt stuck in place. I prayed, fasted, worshiped, and declared every scripture I knew, but nothing in my situation was shifting. Everyone around me was posting breakthroughs, promotions, testimonies, and open doors, but all I had was routine disappointment. One night I cried and said, “God, what am I missing?” It felt unfair. It felt lonely. And honestly, it felt like God was on mute.
What I didn’t realize was that God wasn’t ignoring me. He was developing me. Sometimes God protects the blessing by preparing the person. Just like the Israelites who circled the same mountain until their hearts changed, God was working in places I couldn’t see (Deuteronomy 2:3). My situation wasn’t stuck. My growth was in progress.
Maybe your life is not changing externally because God is changing you internally. Maybe the blessing is too big for who you are right now but perfect for who you’re becoming. Keep praying. Keep trusting. He hears you. He’s working. The shift begins in you before it shows around you (Philippians 1:6).
